Announcement of Capacity Building Workshop Attendees for Solve It, Australia!

Today we announced the ten organisations that will participate in the Paul Ramsay Foundation Peer Development program, Creating Partnerships for Potential - A Peer to Peer Program (CPP). This program follows the Solve It, Australia Masterclass where Rob McLean AM empowered social purpose organisations with the seven-step Bulletproof Problem Solving framework to help solve complex problems.

The organisations will come together with their ten well-formed ideas to help break the cycle of disadvantage. After a two-day residential program during which they will collectively develop and evaluate each proposal, the organisations themselves will determine the five ideas that will receive funding.

The participating organisations, in alphabetical order, are:

The problems on which they are working cover a diverse range of communities and systems of disadvantage including:

  • Parental, mental health related and youth employment issues;

  • Early childhood development factors including single parenting, socioeconomic disadvantage and out of home care;

  • Building the capacity of health professionals to decrease hospitalisations from asthma;

  • Supporting the legal decision making of people with disabilities; and

  • Improving culturally relevant approaches for education access for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students.

We congratulate the organisations who will be participating in the CPP program and thank all who applied. The quality and diversity of applications was very impressive; it was clear that all applicants thoroughly engaged with the problem solving framework.
