Foundation & Funders
If you want to maximise the impact of your philanthropic or investment dollars, we can help in two ways:
First, we can help you strategically leverage your assets and influence.
You must be rigorous in your program design and funding decisions, and deliberate in your approach to collaboration. In order to demonstrate your effectiveness and make prudent decisions, you need a deep understanding of your impact and the ability to clearly articulate it to your internal and external stakeholders. Some of the vexing issues you may face include finding and assessing the right funding or investment opportunities, developing productive relationships with grantees and collaborators, understanding how you can catalyse or collaborate for greater impact, evaluating current strategies and foundation governance.
We can work closely with you to provide tailored, actionable insights and strategies to improve your effectiveness so that you can achieve your goal of high-impact funding.
Second, we can help you help your grantees.
Innovative and impact-driven grant makers are increasingly leveraging their investments by coupling direct grants with strategically delivered capacity-building support. With many social purpose organisations under-resourced and reliant on direct grants for personnel and programs, assigning additional, earmarked funds for capacity building is a powerful and cost-effective way to create a significant and sustained impact.
We can help you amplify the impact of your grants through strategically delivered capacity building support . We have extensive expertise partnering with foundations and funders to deliver capacity building support to grantees. This can take multiple forms including mentoring and coaching, developing bespoke Growth & Impact Action Plans and providing tailored expert advisory services.

Our work in action
Paul Ramsay Foundation
We helped Paul Ramsay Foundation to devise, implement and administer an innovative $900,000 grants program that democratised their philanthropy and built capacity around complex problem solving. This program followed our Solve It, Australia! educational initiative to bring high quality problem solving skills to the social sector.
IAG Foundation
We assessed the impact of IAG Foundation's community engagement initiatives on employee engagement and provided a detailed report, including recommendations for presentation to the IAG Foundation Board.
Trawalla Foundation
We were engaged by Trawalla Foundation to help more children access high-quality educational toys to support play-based learning in their homes via the Toy Well. We created a plan for the roll-out of the Toy Well, which included researching and assessing potential partner organisations as well as potential avenues to source toys, staff, venues and the development of the parental education program and then implemented a pilot program for Toy Well at a number of locations in Sydney.
